A section of controls and switches (called PODS) are in the bottom center of the console front plate (section 14). This section contains 20 rotary controls and 32 switches. The function of these controls and switches change as different configuration buttons are pushed. The display (Section 13) changes, letting the operator know what each control and switch does at the moment. This format allows the operator to set up to 16 different channels for one function without constantly having to push another selection button.
