| Built into the TM-D8000 is a complete set of machine controls for
Tascam's DTRS format (DA-88, DA-38 and DA-98 recorders). |
| However, basic machine controls of other brands of recorders,
that conform to the common P2 protocol, may also be controlled by hooking them to
the RS-422 connector on the back panel. |
| Machines can also be controlled via MIDI Machine Control |
| Common transport/locate controls are at the bottom of the front
plate (section 17), whereas controls specific to the Tascam machines are in a special
"machine control" group (section 15) and the record ready buttons for the tracks
are by the meters (sections 1, 4 & 8). |
