Double-click "My Computer" to open a window something like this.

Go to the "Tools" Menu

Select "Folder Options"

That brings you to this window.

Click on the "View" Tab.

Look for the folder labeled "Hidden files and folders"

Double click the folder to expand it.  

From the choices that appear, select "Show hidden files and folders", then press OK.
