Online Theory Study
Recording Institute of Detroit has posted its theory content for study on the World Wide Web for a majority of its programs.  This Web study feature, available through Alexander MagazineTM , allows an interactive study of course content without campus attendance.  Theory study on the Web, by itself, does not qualify the student for a program completion certificate.  Interactive study of course content on the Web can, however, greatly reduce campus time for distance students.  See our Quik StudyTM descriptions below.
Quik StudyTM
Quik StudyTM programs allow the student to study theory content online and thereby reduce campus attendance time by 40-60%.  The theory portions of the course are studied using the web postings of Alexander MagazineTM and the student then "places out" of the campus theory classes for the program courses (by exam).  There are Quik StudyTM programs for Pro Audio Specialist, Recording Techniques I and Associate Recording Engineer programs.  Completing the Quik StudyTM program  for Associate Recording Engineer will also reduce campus time by 3 months for the longer RID Recording Engineer and Recording Engineer/Producer programs.   To subscribe to Alexander MagazineTM , go hereAll Quik StudyTM programs begin by purchasing a two year access to Alexander MagazineTM , presently priced at $299.  The student then completes the program on campus, as described below:
