| At Christmas time all the kids like to play with their new toys. Us kids in recording are no exception. During the month of December there is a lot less campus training around our Eastpointe, Michigan offices - located in the same building as the Recording Institute of Detroit. As students finish their classes for the year and go on Christmas break, we get more time at the equipment to play. And this year we have a lot of new toys to play with, including a couple of new, fully-loaded, Paris hard-disk recording systems | |||
| Our editors, many of whom also teach at RID, are using the time to produce audio examples of recording and mixing techniques for release early next year. In our feature posting, "2002 - It Was A Very Good Year," we let you in on some of our training and posting plans for the new year. | |||

Christmas time is
also a time for sending and receiving greetings, again we are no
exception. Daily I receive e-mail from readers with good
things about our articles. I get comments like, "I
must say the knowledge I've gain here is outstanding.
This the best information I ever researched."
If you are of like mind, you will find a lot of interesting technical
articles this month. |

| And buy yourself a nice Christmas present, like a two year in-depth study of music recording & production through Alexander Magazine - go here to check it out. | |||
