| There always seems to be a lot happening
around REQ and RID. July 2000 is no exception. Some of the "headlines"
are: |
| 1. Muruga Booker joins RID staff
as our new Drums & Percussion Columnist. Keep tuned for new articles on this
subject. |
| 2. REQ is getting some badly
needed help. Shawn-e Brown is coming on board as of 9/1/00 as our Assistant
Webmaster. |
| 3. RID is redoing its classroom for
September 2000 to allow better displays of visual demonstrations and more practice
facility for students. |
| 4. Robert Dennis is re-assuming the
position of Administrator of Recording Institute of Detroit as of 9/1/00 - so much for
retirement. On the other side of the coin, the web training is being integrated into
the RID program more and more as a useful study tool and to shorten training for distant
students. |
| I'm sure there is more news that I could
bring you, but it will need to wait until next issue. |
