| Working in a recording studio is fun, exciting and educational. Many may have have dreamed of this as a career but probably most dreams are just about controlling all those buttons and faders in a real session that could make a hit record. We have several articles explaining how you progress from study of recording (like reading this magazine) to interning in a studio and to getting a job. An internship could be a career training move or simply one h**l of a vacation. We have included a registration form for registered subscribers to post resume information at RID's new www.recordingjobsconnection.com to get an internship. Included in this issue is a new Motown Heritage article about my first personal experience with on the job training. | |||
| Our Michigan Music contributing editor, P.T. Quinn, recently was in Mississippi at a music fest, shooting photos of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Eddie Cotton and others. We received his article just as we were pushing the button to publish this issue. You can expect him back with us next issue. | |||
| For Michigan Music this month I have posted an article about Dennis Wolfe, the newest Recording Institute Of Detroit recording instructor. If there was such an award, he could find qualify for "Recording Teacher Of The Year Award." Dennis Wolfe's story is extremely interesting. | |||
| And of course we have those technical articles that we are known for, including an article by Frank G on making a basic Hip Hop track and a Ken Layon Home Recording article on Gating and Expansion | |||
| As always, good recording! | |||
