it's about tiring improvements

Its been hectic and fun; then our loveable technical editor, Frank G catches a picture of me dozing- off ; then Shawn-e Brown, our content editor adds magazines to create the picture of Bob doing the exhaustive work of editing the site for our new sponsor, Recording Magazine.

Banner ads for Recording Mag go up this new issue and our ads go in the next printing of Recording Magazine.  We have arranged for a 2 Free Recording Magazine Issues offer for our readers and a "Recording Mag Tip" for Recording Magazine readers.  We're sure you'll love the deals.
Timed Access:

Our approach, starting this year, is to reward our regular readers with even more.  You will be seeing many articles that are available to registered readers for a limited time. Our parent, Alexander Magazine, will be publishing technical articles each issue that can normally only be accessed by paid subscribers. Access to registered REQ subscribers will be granted for a short period. As soon as the next publication date the articles are reset to "paid subscriber only" status. With this system regular readers will get access to in-depth articles at no charge.

We are doing this to promote paid training (such as the Alexander/RID Pro Audio Specialist training for $69) and paid advanced training subscriptions to Alexander Magazine.  Every time you access an article that you like, realize that there are literally hundreds more like that one which paid subscribers can access.  A paid subscription to Alexander Magazine gives you access to more than 8300 posted files for two full years.

The technical articles for this issue cover studio set up techniques and, because of reader demand, about signal processing parameters and techniques.  Many of these articles will be reset to paid subscriber access by the next REQ publication date.   Our technical editor, Frank G, has written a review article on a Tascam unit that many PC Recordists will drool over.  This is the premier article for a new REQ article category entitled "PC Recording."  We've asked Frank to do at least 4 articles on this subject this year for REQ.

Michigan Music has two features this issue, with powerful photographs by our contributing editor, PT Quinn.   In our Recording Connection article, www.recordingjobsconnection.com announces posting the studio e-mail lists for registered users.
