RECORDING MAGAZINE SPONSORSHIP

ANNOUNCED BY BOB DENNIS

Beginning with the Spring issue of Recording Engineer's Quarterly, we are with a new sponsor, Recording Magazine.  We are very happy to have this new sponsor because we really like and respect this hard-copy magazine.  We think that Recording Magazine is exactly the kind of magazine that REQ readers and users would like and need.  I have been familiar with Recording Magazine for the greater part of a decade and I get the magazine  each month.
In this modern world, there is a magazine for everything.  One magazine appeals to the professional engineer, another has nothing but equipment reviews, another appeals to the video-post type of engineer. Recording Magazine sticks to it's nitche - "The Magazine For The Recording Musician."  I've never seen a magazine better for this target of audience.  This is the same kind of audience that best likes REQ.
We're impressed with the recording articles that go in-depth enough to be interesting to the experienced engineer but are stated clearly enough that a person relatively new to recording could follow along.  We, of course, like the equipment reviews that are part and parcel of any recording publication of today.
We also like the "A&R Insider" articles sponsored by TAXI each month.  The interviews with people in the music business lay it on the line about how it works today and give examples how groups got their "star" status.  We think it is excellent reading for those that want to perform, produce or market music today.
Free Magazine Offer
We'll think you well agree if you had a chance to read three issues.  We have arranged to send these to you, if you fill out the offer form.  This free Recording Magazine offer is good only to USA residents and new Recording Magazine subscribers.
Alexander Magazine is also prepared to buy you a subscription if you become a paid Alexander subscriber after April 10, 2002.  If you purchase a full 2-Year Advanced Training Alexander Subscription, we will pay for two full years of Recording Magazine.  If you purchase the Pro Audio Specialist Theory Training Package, you will get 12 issues on us.  This is also only available to USA residents.
Monthly Recording Magazine Reader Tip
Each issue of Recording (starting with the May, 2000 issue) will have a printed REQ ad (in the classified section) with a password.  The password will be for a tip posted on the REQ Site beginning May, 2000.  You will only be able to access the tip with the password printed in Recording Magazine.
We hope to count Recording Magazine as one of a short list of companies that we would consider as a sponsor for years to come.
